Job summary

YMCA of Frederick County in Frederick, MD is hiring for a part-time BASE program Teacher. You will care for small groups of children before/after school and in summer, operating the program when the Site Director is absent, while ensuring safety and quality activities.

The role requires a High School diploma, strong communication and time-management skills, and the ability to engage children through arts, STEM, literacy, and social development activities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• High school diploma or GED (or college coursework for credit).
• Strong communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and coach staff and work with parents and students.

Responsibilities

• Insure high quality programming compliant with MSDE guidelines.
• Take charge of program in absence of Site Director.
• Maintain safety standards and supervise children.
• Build positive relationships with children and parents.
• Assist with administrative duties and site operations.
