Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to work with ESS instructors, teachers, and support staff to provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assistance for students. This role supports Preschool and Elementary students on a collaborative ESS team.

You will assist with one-to-one or small-group guidance, implement adaptations, and help students stay on task while promoting independence within IEPs and BIPs. Rural Minnesota settings may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; AA degree preferred.
• Ability to work with groups and one-to-one.
• Strong communication with students and adults.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a contributing member of the ESS and special education team.
• Provide one-to-one or shared support, adaptations, and accommodations; keep students on task.
• Support implementation of IEPs and BIPs to promote student independence.
• Provide daily progress notes to ESS Instructors on participation and behavior.
