Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc in Cumberland, Rhode Island is seeking a part-time Captain to lead a team of Guides in after-school adventures for the 26/27 year. You will supervise site operations, train staff, and design clubs that spark creativity while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for students, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Must pass a background check as required by state childcare licensing regulations.
• Associate's degree or 60 college credits, with 18 in Education, Child Development, Human Services, or Recreation, and two years supervised teaching in a licensed Early Childhood Program.

Responsibilities

• Lead a fun and dedicated team of Guides delivering activities in fitness, the arts, technology, and more.
• Work collaboratively with peers and the Leadership Team to manage all aspects of the program site.
• Train AlphaBEST Guides on leading adventurous tasks that ignite children's sense of wonder.
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by establishing clubs that align with students' interests.
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment for staff, children, and parents.
