Job summary

MSD of Mt. Vernon MARRS ELEMENTARY in Mount Vernon, Indiana, is seeking a School Site Lead to manage daily operations of before- and after-school care at the Club site, focusing on comprehensive, outcome-driven programming.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in managerial role in Boys & Girls Club or 3+ years youth work, or related AA/cert.
• Advanced knowledge of child/adolescent development and behavior management.
• Experience supervising staff, facilities, and recruitment/retention.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to recruit, train, supervise and motivate staff.
• Ability to discipline members and handle problems effectively.
• Budget preparation, control and management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead site programs, activities and services to support youth outcomes.
• Maintain safe environment; ensure facilities and supplies are ready.
• Oversee daily activities and encourage broad participation.
• Discipline members per guidance procedures and report to Area Director.
• Compile attendance data and assist reporting.
• Attend staff meetings and provide guidance to Youth Development Professionals.
• Collaborate with Area Director on program planning and evaluation.
• Recruit, manage and develop Club staff and volunteers.
• Build partnerships with schools, parents and community groups.
• Develop public relations and marketing for unit programs.
