Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is hiring a Site Director for Florence Bowser Elementary School in Suffolk, VA.

Lead a fun team of Guides and manage all aspects of the afterschool program site, fostering safety, learning, and engagement for student Explorers. Requirements include a BA in a child-related field or 48 semester hours with child-focused coursework, plus 1 year of program experience and 1 year of supervision.

Qualifications

• BA degree in a child related field such as elementary education, nursing or recreation.
• Or 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours with 12 in a child subject.
• One year programming experience and 1 year childcare experience with 1 year supervisor experience with 48 sem credits.

Responsibilities

• Lead a fun and dedicated team of Guides delivering excitement to students in fitness, arts, technology, and more.
• Work with peers and leadership to manage all aspects of the program site.
• Train Guides on leading adventurous tasks that ignite children’s sense of wonder.
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by clubs aligned to student interests.
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment fostering positive relationships at the site.
