Job summary

Luzerne County Community College seeks a PT Paraprofessional for the SHINE Program to support after-school activities, homework help, and enrichment initiatives. Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with staff, students, and public; strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily instruction at SHINE center for 3 hours daily after school.
• Assist with dinner service and support homework completion, character development, relationship-building, cultural enrichment, and service-learning opportunities.
• Enforce SHINE Behavior Policy and notify Lead Teacher of any behavioral issues with documentation.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings as scheduled; attend and assist with monthly Family Nights.
• Assist with student evaluations.
