Job summary

City of Santa Fe Springs is seeking a supervisor for After School Care Children’s Programs. Under general supervision, you will oversee, organize, and plan activities for children aged 5-12, assist with games, events, and programs, and ensure safe play surfaces and prepared activities.

You will administer basic First Aid and enforce district rules to maintain a positive, safe environment for youth program participants.

Qualifications

• Must have considerable knowledge of preparing and assisting with recreational programs, athletic activities and coordinating of recreational facilities.
• Must be able to pass the pre-employment background check and physical.

Responsibilities

• supervise After School Care Children’s Programs under general supervision, overseeing, organizing, and planning activities for children ages 5-12 years old.
• assists with games, special events, and programs; ensures playing surfaces are clear and safe and programs are prepared for the activity.
• administers general First Aid and enforces and interprets rules and regulations in designated recreation districts.
