Job summary

Big Ideas Educational Services is seeking a Reading Certified Project-Based Learning Teacher for after-school hours (3:30PM–5:30PM) in Miami. You will deliver standards-aligned reading instruction through engaging, project-based activities, differentiate for diverse learners, and monitor progress with assessment data.

Collaborate with the Instructional Coach, Site Coordinator, and program staff to support literacy growth and youth development.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Teaching Certificate with Reading or Elementary Education.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• 1–2 years of classroom teaching experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of Florida B.E.S.T. Standards and evidence-based literacy instruction.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Ability to use assessment data to guide instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project-based reading instruction aligned with Florida's B.E.S.T. Standards.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Monitor student progress using assessments and data to plan instruction.
• Collaborate with Instructional Coach and Site Coordinator to support program success.
• Maintain safe, engaging classroom environment and document student progress.
• Communicate with parents regarding student growth as needed.
