Job summary

The After School Literacy Teacher will implement Differentiated Literacy Instruction for K-5 students, using ORF and MAZE assessments to identify needs and guide targeted interventions.

You will monitor student progress, maintain records, and communicate with families and staff while supporting an inclusive learning environment. Roles include ongoing professional development and collaboration with program staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Literacy, or completion of RED coursework (e.g., RED 3313, RED4100).
• Valid Florida teaching certification preferred.
• Experience with elementary literacy instruction and ORF/MAZE assessments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver differentiated literacy instruction to K-5 students.
• Administer ORF and MAZE assessments and analyze data to inform instruction.
• Develop targeted intervention plans to improve fluency and comprehension.
• Maintain progress records and communicate with staff and parents.
• Participate in mandatory DLI, ORF, and MAZE trainings.
