Job summary

Loudoun County Parks, Recreation & Community Services (PRCS) seeks regular part-time After School Supervisors for the CASA and YAS programs serving Loudoun County's elementary and middle school youth. Supervisors help plan and run activities, supervise staff, and assist with homework time.

The CASA program operates 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. and the YAS program 3:15 p.m.–6:15 p.m., Monday–Friday, with a total of about 30 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and 1 year of supervising children or equivalent experience.
• Background checks, First Aid/CPR certification, and TB test as required.
• Commitment to safety, supervision, and program quality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recreational program for children by coordinating supplies, goals, licensing standards, training and supervising staff.
• Develop plans and facilitate activities, group games, and reading time per curriculum and child needs.
• Provide a welcoming, safe environment and conduct health checks; manage food service items and emergencies.
• May perform additional duties related to the role and department.
