Job summary

Foothills is seeking a Program Leader for after-school childcare to coordinate daily operations, plan activities, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for children ages 5–12. The role runs 2:15/2:30pm–6:00pm on regular school days, with longer hours during school breaks.

The ideal candidate is 18+, with substantial childcare experience and the ability to obtain required trainings before employment. This part-time position supports a dynamic team across multiple after-school locations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Minimum 460 hours of documented experience working with children.
• Be able to obtain trainings required to work in a licensed childcare environment (CPR, First Aid, Mandated Reporter Training, etc.).
• Pass TRAILS and CBI/FBI fingerprint background checks for working in licensed childcare.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily supervision and care of youth ages 5-12.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow safety precautions during programs and field trips.
• Facilitate activities such as arts, science, building and dramatic play.
• Assist in daily setup and delivery of program activities, snacks, meals, and supervision.
• Collaborate with other after school staff to plan activities and maintain a positive work environment.
• Communicate professionally with supervisor, teammates and families; maintain confidentiality.
