Job summary

Big Blue Marble Academy in Canton, GA is seeking an After School Program (ASP) Teacher to create a safe, engaging environment for children in our program. You will plan activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development.

Responsibilities include supervising children, helping with homework, communicating with parents, and collaborating with staff to maintain high quality. A high school diploma is required; an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and lead group activities.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with children in the after school program, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that support academic and social growth.
• Assist children with homework and provide academic support as needed.
• Encourage positive behavior and foster a respectful and inclusive environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
• Maintain accurate attendance and activity records.
• Collaborate with other staff members to continuously improve program quality.
