Job summary

Salado Independent School District is seeking an after-school aide to provide care and supervision for students under a certified teacher’s direction. You will assist with small-group activities, help maintain an orderly classroom, and support after-school instructional activities.

The role involves supervising students indoors and outdoors, communicating concerns to the teacher, and participating in staff development to improve performance.

Major Responsibilities And Duties
Instructional Support

• Provide after school care for students under the direction of teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
• Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.

Student Management

• Help supervise students after school, inside and outside classroom. This includes playground duty.
• Make teacher aware of special needs or problems of individual students.

Other

• Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
• Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
