Job summary

ROCS Grad Staffing seeks a responsible individual to oversee an after-school program for students in grades 3 through 11, from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. You will create a safe, supportive environment, help with homework, and ensure the room is ready and students are engaged with quiet activities.

Responsibilities include supervising students, assisting with homework, coordinating with the front desk for parent communications, managing pickups, and maintaining order and a positive group atmosphere.

This role involves helping students with their homework, ensuring they have a quiet place to study, and assisting with basic tasks like emailing teachers if needed. You will also ensure the room is set up, and students are settled with a snack and engaged in quiet activities such as reading or using laptops.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Assist students with homework, provide basic academic support, and help them communicate with their teachers as needed.
• Manage staggered student pickups from 3:30 PM to 5:45 PM, with a grace period until 6:00 PM.
• Coordinate with the front desk staff member, who will assist with parent communications and other tasks.
• Ensure the room is set up by 3:15 PM and assist with carpool if necessary.
• Maintain a social and engaging environment for students.
• Students range from grades third through eleventh

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children
• CPR and First Aid certification (training provided if not already certified).
• Reliable and responsible, with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Able to commit to the minimum hours required with some flexibility for additional shifts
