Job summary

The YMCA is seeking staff to assist with supervising a safe and well-organized childcare program at a designated site for the 2026-2027 school year, with shifts 6:15am-8:30am and/or 2:30pm-6:15pm in the Choctaw-Nicoma Park School District Elementary Schools.

You will help plan activities for 10-15 children, maintain safety, take attendance, and participate in trainings while embodying YMCA values and building positive relationships with participants, staff, and the community.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age, have high school diploma or GED.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification, renewed annually.
• Must complete all required Redwoods trainings within 30 days of hire and renew annually.

Responsibilities

• Establish a positive relationship with the program participants.
• Plan weekly activities for a group of 10-15 children.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children.
• Lead games and activities.
• Take daily attendance and sign in/out each day.
• Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and CATCH trainings.

Education
