Qualifications

• Two years full-time RN experience preferred.
• Massachusetts RN license required.
• Knowledge of public health nursing practice.
• Experience with Discovery Club/Access 21 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care and first aid as directed by policies.
• Maintain health records and document pertinent information.
• Review medical records for students in Discovery Club/Access 21.
• Notify parents of illnesses and accidents and file forms.
• Distribute/administer medications as necessary.
• Inform teachers and staff about medical issues affecting students.
• Coordinate with the After School Nurse Coordinator on schedule and concerns.
• Possibility for before school coverage depending on needs.
• Train afterschool staff and coaches on medication administration.
• Perform other duties per Superintendent directives and policies.
