Job summary

YMCA of Southwest Florida is hiring Before & After School Program Leaders at all levels to staff four new elementary schools and grow with the team. You’ll lead activities, build relationships, and help shape safe, engaging programs for kids.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old (21+ for higher-level leadership responsibilities).
• Experience working with children preferred (school, camp, childcare, sports).
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus (for advanced roles).
• Ability to pass background screening and meet YMCA/DCF requirements.
• CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, age-appropriate activities like games, crafts, sports, and enrichment.
• Build meaningful relationships with students and families.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment at all times.
• Help create structure, routines, and a positive group dynamic.
• Oversee daily site operations and program flow (experienced).
• Communicate with families and school partners (experienced).
• Assist with planning events, spirit days, and family engagement opportunities.
• Ensure program quality, safety standards, and licensing compliance.
