YMCA of Southwest Florida is seeking Before & After School Program Leaders at multiple elementary school locations. This August, the YMCA of Southwest Florida is expanding our Before & After School Care program into 4 new elementary schools, and we’re building an incredible team to bring energy, creativity, and leadership to our sites.

Whether you’re just starting your journey working with kids or you’re ready to lead a team and run a site, we’re hiring Program Leaders at all levels—and we’ll place you in the right role based on your experience and strengths.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

Every day, you’ll help create a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment where kids can learn, grow, and thrive. Depending on your experience, your role may include:

Working Directly with Kids

• Lead fun, age-appropriate activities like games, crafts, sports, and enrichment
• Build meaningful relationships with students and families
• Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment at all times
• Help create structure, routines, and a positive group dynamic

Program Leadership & Site Support (for experienced candidates)

• Help oversee daily site operations and program flow
• Support or lead staff, ensuring activities are organized and engaging
• Communicate with families and school partners
• Assist with planning special events, spirit days, and family engagement opportunities
• Ensure program quality, safety standards, and licensing compliance

Schedule

• Morning shifts (Before School)
• Afternoon shifts (After School)
