Job summary

Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools is seeking an After School Group Leader to supervise and teach students in the After School program at an assigned school.

You will plan enriching activities for grades K-5, ensure safety and welfare, participate in weekly staff meetings, and follow PBIS guidelines. The position requires completing orientation and mandatory trainings within specified timeframes. This is a nonexempt, 10-month role at a school site.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with teaching and supervising children (grades K-5) in a recreational or educational setting.
• A high school diploma is required.
• Documentation of TB test results and CPR/SFA/Playground Safety certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Works with assigned group of children; teaches and supervises in all program activities and on field trips.
• Plans and organizes enriching, age-appropriate activities per NC Child Care Licensing requirements.
• Provides a safe environment for all students.
• Participates in weekly site staff meetings.
• Follows PBIS guidelines for managing student behavior.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
