Job summary

Arc Experience in San Diego, CA is seeking an Elementary & Middle School Assistant Site Coordinator for part-time, non-exempt hours. This role supports the Site Coordinator, supervises students after school, and helps plan and lead activities.

You will track attendance, ensure safety, enforce rules, and coordinate enrichment activities while collaborating with school staff. Bilingual skills and passion for youth development are a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with kids and parents.
• College transcripts showing 48+ college credit units completed or pass an academic proficiency exam.
• TB test with negative result and Live Scan background check.
• Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus.
• Covid-19 vaccination documentation if required by the school.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Coordinator by acting as the second point of contact for parents and administrators.
• Oversee safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
• Establish and enforce rules to promote positive behavior.
• Coordinate, manage, and participate in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Organize and lead activities including homework help, games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
• Create and run clubs (e.g., career readiness, cooking, anime, dance) for students.
