Schedule: Monday – Friday | 2PM-6PM Afternoon hours aligned with school dismissal

Program Term: 2026/2027 Academic School Year

The Bradenton Dream Center is seeking energetic, organized, and faith-motivated Program
Instructors to guide, inspire, and supervise students during our 2026/2027 After School Program.

As a Program Instructor, you will carry out a vital dual mission: providing high-quality academic
support and fostering intentional spiritual development. You will serve as the primary face of the
program for your assigned student group, ensuring a safe, positive, and faith-centered
environment where students can grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Group Facilitation & Supervision
  • Maintain direct supervision and ensure the absolute safety of students at all times.
  • Lead daily program schedules, including student arrivals, transitions, snack/meal coordination, and evening dismissals.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful group culture that reflects Christ-like character among students.
  • Academic & Ministry Curriculum Delivery
  • Implement and facilitate daily academic enrichment activities, including homework assistance, reading/math review, arts and crafts, team sports, and STEM projects.
  • Deliver faith-based programming, including devotionals, character-building lessons, and ministry-focused discussions.
  • Assist in organizing and supervising special program events or potential field trips (including loading/unloading transportation safely).
  • Adapt curriculum and activities to actively engage students of varying skill levels, learning styles, and spiritual backgrounds.
  • Behavior Management & Spiritual Leadership
  • Utilize positive behavior reinforcement strategies to effectively manage classroom and recreational dynamics.
  • De-escalate student conflicts quickly and compassionately, looping in the Program Coordinator when necessary.
  • Act as a positive Christian role model, demonstrating character, empathy, integrity, and servant-leadership.
  • Team Collaboration & Communication
  • Coordinate daily logistics and program needs directly with the Program Coordinator and fellow Instructors.
  • Welcome parents/guardians during evening check-out and provide brief, positive updates on student progress and behavior.
  • Help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and stewardship of classrooms and shared ministry spaces alongside the facility team.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year working with elementary or middle-school-aged youth (e.g., after-school programs, camp counselor, Bayside Kids, youth/kids ministry, tutoring, or coaching).
  • Education: Current college students (18+) pursuing degrees in Education, Ministry, Social Work, or related fields are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Strong communication, active conflict resolution, and the ability to maintain high energy and focus after a full school day.
  • Clearances: Must pass a mandatory criminal background check and fingerprinting prior to the start of the program.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to participate in outdoor recreational activities, lift up to 25 lbs, and remain active on your feet for extended periods.
