Job summary

YMCA SouthCoast is seeking a Site Coordinator to plan, develop, and supervise a comprehensive before/after school program. Hours are 6:45-9am and 3-5:30pm, Monday through Friday, in Mattapoisett, MA. You will lead staff, design lessons, schedule personnel, and ensure safety and quality of care for participating youth.

The role requires knowledge of state regulations, strong parent communication, and the ability to manage records and budgets within a YMCA setting.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements per EEC regulations.
• Ability to interact effectively with children and parents.
• Experience teaching children at grade school level.
• Ability to supervise and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise staff of the program.
• Prepare weekly lesson plans with multiple learning components.
• Create weekly staff schedules and assign responsibilities.
• Model healthy eating standards during meals and snacks.
• Engage youth in games and physical activities per YMCA standards.
• Maintain accurate records of enrolled children.
• Ensure proper ID at check-out and communicate concerns to parents.
• Monitor cleanliness, safety, and general program appearance.
• Assist with staff selection, budget development, and training scheduling.
