Job summary

RCM Health Care Services seeks a Student Support Aide for an after-school program in Oakland, CA. This part-time role runs Monday through Friday, 2:00–6:00 PM, on-site at the school location.

Responsibilities include academic assistance, activity planning, attendance tracking, and customer service with families and school staff. Qualifications include 1–2 years in youth development or equivalent experience, and an associate degree or 48 college units, or a ParaPro exam with a 460 passing score.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of work in a youth development setting or equivalent.
• Associates degree or 48 college units, or ParaPro exam with passing score of 460.
• Strong communication with students, staff, parents, and school personnel.

Responsibilities

• Implement after-school activities within core program areas (academic help, homework club, fitness, arts, enrichment).
• Document program schedules, lesson plans, youth participation, and outcomes.
• Use positive behavior and classroom management techniques with children.
• Accurately track student attendance daily (sign-in/sign-out).
• Assist with after-school program registration, customer service, and community outreach.
• Maintain health and safety standards to ensure student and staff safety.
• Participate in all after-school activities, including setup, cleanup, and preparation.
• Communicate and collaborate with students, staff, parents, school personnel, and community partners.
