Great Hearts Monte Vista South After-School Program is seeking a Part-Time, hourly Program Assistant at our Monte Vista South Campus in San Antonio. You will greet parents and visitors, manage student sign-out, assist with crafts, and support after-school operations under the Campus Coordinator.

This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, plus experience with children. The position offers part-time hours and a community-focused environment within a charter school network.

Position: After-School Program Assistants (Monte Vista South Campus)

Location: Great Hearts Monte Vista South (211 Belknap Place San Antonio, TX 78212)

Reports To: Campus Coordinator

FLSA Status: Part-Time; Hourly

Position Description:

• Part-time afternoon position responsible for greeting parents and visitors, managing the sign-out/ pick up process of students, assisting with the preparation of crafts.
• The Program Assistant is responsible for several administrative tasks such as administering late fees, keeping files organized, and maintaining a general awareness of after-school operations.
• The Program Assistant reports to the Campus Coordinator and assists them with any necessary tasks.

Qualifications: Some college preferred, experience with children, excellent communication, and organizational skills.

Requirements:

• Must complete Texas Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance and background check.
• Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 50 pounds approximately.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.

Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
