Job summary

Fort Bend ISD is seeking an Extended Learning Student Assistant to help provide a safe, engaging after-school environment for school-age students. Under the Campus Leader, you will support supervision, implement positive behavior strategies, and assist students with activities designed for developmentally appropriate learning.

You will collaborate with staff to ensure compliance with district standards, maintain materials and facilities, and demonstrate professional customer service to students,

Qualifications

• Current high school senior currently enrolled in a Fort Bend ISD high school required
• Minimum of 1 year previous experience working with school-age children preferred
• Basic computing skills, including MS Office required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required

Responsibilities

• Provide effective and consistent supervision to all students to ensure a safe environment
• Implement positive behavior management techniques
• Assist students with varying needs and abilities
• Collaborate with colleagues to establish and maintain an effective team
• Assist Campus Leadership by maintaining compliance with district standards
• Demonstrate proper use and care for district materials and equipment
• Exhibit professional customer service toward students, parents, colleagues and supervisors
• Perform other duties as assigned
