Job summary

Breakthrough New York seeks a Program Assistant for the Spring 2027 term to support after-school programming at one of two sites: Forte Prep High School in Queens or The Town School in Manhattan.

You will assist with program logistics, attendance, snack setup, and inventory, while working Mondays and Wednesdays 4:00–7:00 PM. This on-site, seasonal role offers a chance to mentor middle school students and help families navigate the program.

Qualifications

• Current college student and/or 18 years or older
• Committed to Spring 2027 term (Jan 27 – Apr 21, 2027)
• Comfortable with Zoom and Google Drive, ability to learn new systems

Responsibilities

• Support logistics and operations for after-school programming at one of two sites (Manhattan or Queens)
• Assist with attendance, snack setup, and online collections systems
• Assist in site maintenance, event planning and supply ordering
• Provide onsite logistical and operational support on Mondays and Wednesdays 4:00–7:00 PM during the semester
