Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools in Aurora, CO, seeks an enthusiastic Before and After School Assistant at Woodland Elementary School. This non-exempt position supports the school-based child care program under a qualified leader, promoting safe, engaging activities for students after school.

You will supervise students, follow ECS procedures, communicate with parents and staff, and help maintain equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

The assistant must be at least 16 years of age
Assistants work under supervisor of the director or leader
Each year of employment requires at least 15 clock hours of training
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
Ability to work with school age children
Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire

Responsibilities

Completes tasks assigned by director, assistant director, or leader.
Participates in structured and unstructured activities with students.
Maintains safe conditions for students and staff.
Follows and enforces program discipline policies and procedures.
Assists with maintenance, storage, and repair of equipment, materials and supplies.
Contributes ideas for enrichment activities and curriculum.
Demonstrates excellent communication with parents, students, staff and coworkers.
Follows district policies and uses facilities with care.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
