Job summary

The Cherry Creek School District is seeking an active, student-focused assistant to supervise children in the school-based child care program under a qualified leader. You will promote positive relations with families and the school community.

Responsibilities include supporting daily activities, ensuring safety, following program discipline policies, coordinating with staff, and contributing ideas to enrich curriculum and program quality.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Work directly under supervision of the director, assistant director or leader.
• Each year of employment, complete at least 15 clock hours of training.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Able to work with school-age children.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes all tasks assigned by director, assistant director, or leader.
• Follow procedures as stated in the ECS Procedures Manual.
• Participates and plays with students in structured and unstructured activities.
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff.
• Follows and enforces program discipline policies and procedures.
• Assists with maintenance, proper storage, and repair of equipment, materials and supplies.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities, curriculum, and program quality.
• Demonstrates excellent communication with parents, students, school staff and co workers.
• Follows district policies and goals and uses district facilities with care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
