Qualifications

• The assistant must be at least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Active supervision of students in the school-based child care program under guidance of a qualified leader.
• Develops and promotes good community relations among school clientele.
• Completes tasks assigned by director or supervisor; follows procedures in manual.
• Participates in structured and unstructured activities with students.
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff; enforces discipline policies.
• Assists with maintenance, storage, and repair of equipment and supplies.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities, curriculum, and program quality.
• Communicates effectively with parents, students, staff, and coworkers.
• Follows district policies and uses facilities with care.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
