Job summary

FKO Afterschool in Revere, MA seeks a dedicated One-to-One Aide for its after-school program. The role supports a single child for a set period, assisting with academic and enrichment activities.

Hours are school year, 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 2:00pm - 6:00pm. Must be 18+, with classroom and special education environment knowledge, strong oral and written communication, and basic computer skills. Prior experience with special education software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Knowledge of classroom environment and special education environment.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing; basic computer skills.
• Experience with special education software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and maintains individual help and assistance to a child with special needs within an after-school program environment
• Provides reinforcement to individual of direct material initially taught by the after-school educators
• Maintains or modifies the child’s curriculum and enrichment activities to the needs of the child
• Responsible for dealing with and following any behavior plans
• Communicates daily with parents/guardians, school day teachers, special education department and other team members
• Maintains a daily activity log on progress
• Attends parent/educator conferences as required
• Performs other duties as may be necessary and assigned by the classroom teacher and/or administrator
