Job summary

Lower Pioneer Valley Educational Collaborative is seeking a dedicated Individual Aide to support a child with special needs in a Ludlow High School setting. This full-time role involves working in a classroom, providing one-to-one academic assistance, and assisting with personal care as required to meet educational objectives.

Qualifications

• Training will be provided; CORI and Fingerprint background verification required.
• Experience working with students having special needs, specifically Autism (preferred).
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis, Activities of Daily Living, Augmentative Communication, and Behavior Management.
• Discreet Trial Teaching and data collection.
• Individual Aides must be able to provide physical assistance to students and may be required to lift children.
• Must have the ability to be restrain trained.
• At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a classroom and be assigned to support an individual child.
• Provide physical assistance and support to meet educational objectives.
• Assist with behavior management and daily living activities as needed.
