Home Work Staffing seeks a dependable, energetic part-time afterschool nanny for two children, ages 6 and 11 in Sherborn, MA. You’ll arrive before school pickup to handle light chores, then supervise homework, reading, and activities after school, with occasional driving to local activities.

Guaranteed 20 hours per week, schedule Monday–Friday 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, with some flexibility. Compensation is $30–$35 per hour based on experience; benefits include a gas stipend and paid time off as outlined.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for school-age children
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to complete before the start date)
• COVID-19 vaccinated
• Valid driver's license
• Gas stipend provided for work-related driving (if used)
• Spanish-speaking a plus

Responsibilities

• Arrive ahead of the children to complete light household duties, including laundry, dishes, tidying, and meal prep
• Meet the children off the bus and provide a warm, steady presence during the afterschool transition
• Support homework and reinforce reading and math, particularly with the younger child
• Plan engaging afternoons – library visits, outdoor play, and structured downtime
• Drive the children to local afterschool activities
• Handle light meal prep (simple chopping, putting a prepared item in the oven)
• Manage the children's laundry and light organizing
• Encourage the children to pick up after themselves
• Run occasional local errands during downtime (e.g., a quick grocery pickup)

Afternoons include homework help, reading and math practice (especially with the younger child), library trips, outdoor play, and driving to local activities. Occasional added flexibility (around 30 minutes) is appreciated, and advance notice will always be given.
