Qualifications

• Experience directing or producing musical theatre with middle-school students.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to create a positive and structured rehearsal environment.
• Availability for after-school rehearsals and Spring 2027 performances.
• Experience in Catholic/Jesuit education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead artistic direction of the Spring 2027 middle school musical.
• Collaborate with administration, faculty, production staff, and families to plan and execute the production.
• Participate in production staff meetings to establish the calendar, vision, staffing, and technical needs.
• Lead student auditions in December 2026 and communicate roles to students and families.
• Develop and lead an after-school rehearsal schedule through Spring 2027 productions.
• Direct student actors in character development, blocking, ensemble work, and stage performance.
• Coordinate with music and technical staff on choreography, music, sets, costumes, props, lighting, and sound.
• Create an organized, inclusive, joyful, and appropriately challenging rehearsal environment.
• Help students develop confidence, responsibility, perseverance, collaboration, and respect for one another.
• Communicate regularly with school leadership and production staff regarding progress and logistics.
• Lead dress rehearsals and performances and ensure successful production execution.
• Serve as a positive role model and contribute to the school's mission.
