Job summary

Cambridge Public Schools is seeking a part‑time CRLS Library After‑School Support staff member for the 2025‑2026 school year. The role runs Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Pearl K. Wise Library at CRLS, supporting library programs and services.

Responsibilities include maintaining a welcoming study atmosphere, performing clerical tasks, managing circulation, supervising student workers, and helping users with materials and equipment. Prior library experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree; two years post‑graduate education preferred.
• Experience in educational or recreational setting overseeing high school students.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills for a high-use environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming and congenial atmosphere conducive to study.
• Perform routine clerical tasks.
• Use automated circulation system to manage circulation.
• Supervise student workers.
• Assist students and staff in locating materials.
• Assist students and staff in operating computers and equipment.
• Troubleshoot minor technology and equipment issues.

Education

Bachelor's degree
