Job summary

Holland Christian Schools is seeking a Lead Teacher for the After School Care Program at Rose Park Elementary in Holland, MI. This part-time role provides leadership for daily activities, supervision, and a safe, engaging environment after school.

You will lead staff, coordinate activities, and communicate with parents, while modeling the school's Christian values. Schedule is 3:00–5:30 PM on school days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; education/child development coursework preferred.
• Experience with children in school/childcare settings is preferred.
• Previous leadership experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a group of children positively and effectively.
• Dependable, patient, flexible, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision and care for students during after-school hours.
• Lead daily activities including games, crafts, reading, homework, and enrichment.
• Establish positive routines, expectations, and relationships with students.
• Provide direction and support to After School Care staff.
• Coordinate daily staffing, student transitions, and program activities.
• Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, and school staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
• Follow school safety and supervision procedures.
• Report student concerns to the appropriate administrator.
• Uphold a positive Christian role model for students and staff.
