Job summary

Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School (GRCES) is seeking Lead Teachers for the Kids Care program for the 26–27 school year. This part-time, school-year position is licensed child care and emphasizes Christian education across Evergreen and Iroquois Campuses.

Responsibilities include providing a safe environment, planning activities, supervising attendance, coordinating with team members, and communicating with parents.

Qualifications

• High school graduate (or GED) and at least 19 years of age.
• Experience working with children.
• Preferred to have or is working toward a degree in a child-related field, or have an Early Childhood Credential.
• CPR/First Aid Certification, can be completed after employment.
• Complete and pass the state-required background check.
• Complete required, ongoing trainings, if offered the position.
• Be able to sit on the floor with children and move around for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment and active supervision for students by following all licensing guidelines.
• Plan, prepare, deliver, and participate in games, crafts, and activities with children.
• Manage attendance.
• Clean and organize the daily learning spaces.
• Communicate with parents.
• Coordinate with Kids Care team members.
