Job summary

Ivy Kids is seeking a School Age Lead Teacher to plan and implement engaging after-school activities and summer camp curricula for children. You will supervise assistant teachers, maintain records, and ensure a clean, safe classroom while modeling Conscious Discipline.

You will coordinate daily lesson plans, participate in staff trainings, and communicate with parents to support child development and program goals.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repeatedly bend, stoop and run; must repeatedly lift and carry children up to 50+ pounds.
• Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with children and parents.
• Lead teacher must maintain at least 24 hours of training each year.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily afterschool activities and summer camp curriculum.
• Supervise assistant teachers and coordinate classroom activities.
• Maintain classroom records and developmental checklists; keep areas clean, safe and organized.
• Transport children to and from school and field trips (14-passenger bus).
• Communicate with parents and the director about staff, children, families, and program.
