Job summary

Ivy Kids is seeking a School Age Lead Teacher to plan and implement engaging after-school activities and summer camp curriculum for children in the classroom. You will oversee personal care, learning activities, and specialized programs while modeling Conscious Discipline and maintaining classroom records and safety.

You will supervise assistant teachers, ensure clean and organized play areas, and keep the director informed about staff, children, families, and program issues on a timely basis.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repeatedly bend, stoop and run; must repeatedly lift and carry children up to 50+ pounds.
• Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with children and parents.
• Lead teacher must maintain at least 24 hours of training each year.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements daily afterschool activities, summer camp curriculum activities, and lesson plans as per Ivy Kids Standards.
• Has knowledge of state standards and ability to follow Ivy Kids Critical Procedures.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Transport children to and from school and field trip venues (drive a 14-passenger non-CDL bus).
• Assists in training new staff and familiarizing them with program practices, forms, and schedules.
• Communicates appropriately with parents and children.
• Understands and complies with all Ivy Kids Brand standards & State Standards.
