Job summary

Great Hearts Arizona - CMO is seeking an After-School Lead Teacher for the Academy in Anthem. The role involves supervising up to 20 students, guiding homework time, and leading activities from a classical curriculum in a supportive, child-focused environment.

This part-time, seasonal position runs Monday–Friday after school until 6:00 p.m., with 15–20 hours weekly. Prior teaching-related experience or education degree preferred; First aid/CPR is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• AZDHS licensing qualifications required or in process.
• Lead Teacher must have 3 months of experience in a qualifying setting or a degree in education/related field.
• First aid/CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 20 students in an after-school setting.
• Facilitate homework, recess and activities per schedule.
• Present lessons from provided classical curriculum.
• Follow safe behavior protocols and document significant events.
• Escalate incidents to supervisor and substitute at another campus when needed.
