Job summary

Laveen Elementary School District is seeking an Associate for the Kids Club to supervise and support safe, engaging before- and after-school activities for students in grades K-8 at the Laveen site. The role emphasizes positive relations with students, parents and staff.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, CPI restraint certification, First Aid and CPR, TB test and fingerprint clearance. This part-time, non-exempt position follows a 10-month schedule with benefits as defined by policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPI restraint certification, First Aid and CPR training completed by start.
• Negative TB test and fingerprint IVP clearance required before start.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Supervises children’s activities to ensure safety at all times.
• Plan, organize, and direct a variety of before and after school activities for K-8.
• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with children, parents, staff and community.
• Maintain standards of acceptable behavior using non-punitive methods.
• Assist with daily attendance, scheduling, and daily snack distribution.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Follow health services rules and regulations.
