Job summary

Kiva Elementary School in Paradise Valley, AZ is seeking a Childcare Provider 2 for the Kids Club before- and after-school program. The role supports the Childcare Specialist with planning activities and supervising students during shifts from 6:45-8:45am and 2:15-6:15pm.

Applicants must meet staff qualifications (high school diploma or higher or recognized childcare credentials) and be 18+. The position is non-exempt, starts immediately, and pays $17.36–$18.06 per hour under the F pay grade.

Qualifications

• Must meet staff qualifications to be a teacher-caregiver under R9-5-401 of the Arizona Administrative Code.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Provide written documentation of one of the listed qualifications.
• Licensing requirements include DPS fingerprint clearance and CPR/First Aid.
• Background in early childhood education or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees and community.
• Supervise the children at all times.
• Make sure that site and activities are prepared prior to children’s arrival.
• Administer first aid when necessary.
• Treat every child with respect.
• Maintain behavior standards in line with district policy.
• Keep the Childcare Specialist informed of student activities.
• Share and participate in clean up activities.
