After-School Instructor – K-8 Enrichment (Part-Time)

Job summary

Family Focus seeks an Instructor for a part-time, seasonal role at our Englewood site. You will prepare and present materials for after-school academic and enrichment activities aligned with the Curriculum Alignment Plan, supporting youth in grades K-8.

Under the Program Manager's guidance, you will plan student-centered activities, foster academic achievement, and promote social-emotional development while ensuring safety and program quality through weekly lesson plans and portfolios.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Services, Education or Youth Development.
• Experience instructing meaningful elementary aged, hands-on after-school academic projects.
• Teacher/volunteer experience in Chicago Public Schools considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and instruct K-8th grade participants in academic & enrichment activities.
• Lesson plans due a week prior to instruction.
• Generate and maintain portfolios for each participant.
• Supervise safety of participants in person and virtually.
