Nexplore is seeking an enthusiastic instructor to lead a hands-on after-school class for K–2 students in Santa Barbara. Classes run Tuesdays, 3:00 PM–4:00 PM; curriculum and materials are provided; compensation is $75 per hour per class. You bring energy and experience with children; 2+ years teaching or coaching is preferred.

Teaching degree or certificate is a plus. Reliable transportation and the ability to commit to every scheduled date are required; a supportive program team will assist you

Nexplore Instructor Role :

Teach a hands-on after-school class that kids look forward to every week. Curriculum, lesson plans and all materials are provided. You bring the joy.

What you'll do

• Lead the class with energy and keep every student engaged
• Arrive early to set up, and hand students off safely at dismissal
• Manage the room so it stays safe and fun
• Stay in touch with your Program Success Manager

• A dedicated team behind you in the classroom: your Program Success Manager, a Regional Excellence Coordinator and a curriculum coach

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children
• 2+ years teaching, instructing or coaching (preferred)
• Educational, training or youth-development experience
• Teaching degree or certificate is a plus
• Reliable transportation, and able to commit to every scheduled date
