Job summary

Orting High School, as part of the Orting School District, is seeking an Assistant Football Coach to support the varsity program during the 2026-27 fall season. This role requires coaching experience or participation in football, knowledge of techniques and strategies, and the ability to meet WA state coaching standards.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching/participating in football
• Knowledge of football techniques and strategies
• Meet Washington State Coaching Standards (W.I.A.A)
• Ability to communicate positively and effectively with students, parents, staff and community members
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills necessary to support running a solid high school program
• Successful experience working with teenage athletes
• Ability to motivate teens to reach their highest potential academically through sportsmanship

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching the Orting High School football program.
• Support communication with students, parents, staff and community members.
• Collaborate with Athletics & Activities leadership to run the program.
