InspireKids is hiring an After School Group Therapist in Garfield Heights, OH. The role supports a Day Treatment Program with developmentally appropriate, evidence-based group therapy in a warm outpatient setting.

You will lead social-emotional groups, assess progress, and collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team to foster children’s emotional well-being and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Social Work or Master's degree in counseling.
• Licensed in Ohio (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, MFT, IMFT, CT, SWT, MFTT, etc.)
• 1+ year of mental health experience, preferably with children.
• Preferred experience with play-based, trauma-informed, and behavioral interventions.
• Ability to build meaningful connections with children and families.
• Comfort navigating crisis situations with calm and clarity.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments, create treatment plans, and monitor progress.
• Lead social-emotional skill-building groups and therapeutic activities.
• Partner closely with parents and caregivers to support progress at home.
• Provide compassionate crisis intervention and safety planning when needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to a whole-child approach.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

We are currently hiring a Center Based Group Therapistfor our After School Program in Garfield Heights. This is an opportunity to be at the center of children’s journeys, delivering impactful care, while working as part of a close-knit, interdisciplinary team.

POSITION DETAILS

Position: After School Group Therapist

Schedule and Hours:

• Flexible day-shift hours – no late evenings or weekends!
• Monday – Friday
• 3:30 apm – 6:30 pm

Compensation: Competitive hourly pay, plus performance bonus.

Location: 5595 Transportation Boulevard, Garfield Heights, OH 44125

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an After School Group Therapist at InspireKids, you will be a key part of our clinical team.
