Job summary

YMCA of Wichita Kansas is seeking a Group Leader to support licensed school-age child care programs. You will model positive behavior, supervise activities, and engage youth through structured activities under the guidance of a Site Lead.

The role requires a minimum age of 18, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and attendance at orientation within 30 days. Mandatory CPR/AED and First Aid, along with KDHE health history and site orientation, are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18
• Must attend New Employee Orientation within 30 days of hire
• Complete Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid, KDHE Health History, Site Orientation and other mandatory trainings

Responsibilities

• Attend mandatory staff meetings and in-service hours
• Facilitate program activities, supervise routines and encourage youth participation
• Engage with youth throughout the program to build positive relationships and model behavior
• Maintain open communication with Site Director and staff regarding training needs and performance
