Job summary

Northborough-Southborough Public Schools is seeking a Group Leader for the Northborough Extended Day Program. You will work with the Site Coordinator to provide a safe, enriching after-school childcare environment for K–5 students.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, assisting with attendance, and maintaining a positive, inclusive program. Requires flexibility, strong communication, and adherence to DEEC policies; probation applies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Associate degree or high school diploma with relevant experience.
• Nine months’ experience with school-age children including at least three months in a school-age childcare program.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Must pass all background checks (CORI, SORI, DCF, Fingerprinting, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement activities with the Site Coordinator for K–5 students.
• Supervise and engage children during activities.
• Assist with attendance and sign-out daily/weekly.
• Maintain spaces clean and organized; follow safety procedures.
• Attend mandatory monthly meetings and professional development trainings.
• Assist in supervising Assistant Group Leaders and volunteers.
