Glenn C. Marlow Elementary in Mills River, NC seeks an PSAM/PSPM Group Leader to plan after-school activities and supervise groups of children. The role reports to the PSPM Director and is non-exempt, temporary, part-time with no benefits.

The position runs about 3.6 hours per day (18 hours per week) starting January 5, 2027. Responsibilities include supporting individual students or small groups, monitoring behavior, and ensuring a safe, developmentally appropriate environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
• Willing to earn Basic School Age Care, Playground Safety, CPR, and First Aid Certifications.
• Demonstrate a pleasant disposition, patience, and love for children.
• Able to follow directions from the Site Specialist.
• Be a self-starter and reliable with attendance.

Responsabilités

• Plan activities and supervise children after school.
• Assist PSPM Director with individual students or small groups.
• Monitor student behavior and safety.
• Contribute to an environment addressing children’s developmental needs.
• Support rest, activity, social interaction and study for children of varying ages.
