Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree—or equivalent credential.
• 1-year credential related to school-age care or 20/30 college credits with teaching experience.
• 2+ years of qualifying teaching experience in a certified child care setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through activities during after-school program.
• Collaborate with peers to engage children in learning adventures.
• Encourage creativity and curiosity aligned with children's interests.
• Foster a caring, family-oriented environment with staff, children and parents.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) or Associate’s Degree (AS/AA)

1-year state or nationally recognized credential

20 credits/30 credits of training + 1 year teaching experience

2+ years of teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center
