Job summary

AlphaBEST Education (NC) is hiring a part-time Group Leader for the Tewksbury Elementary School in Massachusetts. You will guide students in before & after school activities, leading them through fun learning experiences with strong training and support.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to work a flexible M-F schedule, and state childcare licensing clearance. Experience in childcare or education is preferred; opportunities include bonuses and employee referrals.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs (M-F; mornings and afternoons).
• Must be registered and have full clearance from the state childcare licensing agency.
• Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations.
• Two or more years of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program) or a Bachelor’s/Associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of student explorers through activities in fitness, arts, technology, and more.
• Work collaboratively with peers to ignite children’s sense of wonder.
• Encourage creativity and curiosity by building on students' interests and talents.
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment with positive staff, child, and parent relationships.
